Ella
realized when I was looking at the website that I never let you know any information about Ella after I adopted her. She moved in and became instant best friends with Duncan (border collie) who is two months older. I renamed her Neela and over time, when she didn't grow into a border collie I researched and discovered that she is an Ibizan Hound with husky coloring. She is the top dog in the house and believes she can do nothing wrong. Most of the time she's right. In August a new puppy moved in (Kira, a sheltie) and Neela is busy trying to make sure that Kira doesn't take over control. The three of them get along very well most of the time and we are working on manners. She is very independent but loves to cuddle. Thinks she is part goat, climbs every hill she can find to be taller and thinks she can eat anything she sees. She's wrong about that since we are working on digestive problems and she has to have a pepcid every day and is on pro-biotic powder to help her with the nausea. Loves to walk as often as they can talk me into it and is just a joy to be with. I want to thank you so much for allowing me to have her. I can't imagine the house without her.

Milo
Hello,
I just wanted to let everyone know that Bill and I are very happy with are new Kitty Milo. He purrs like crazy, runs around like a maniac, and is very entertaining. I hope that the other person who was going to look at him found another cat. I was disappointed when I found out that Springer (I think that's his name) was adopted, but it worked out for the best because we found the perfect kitty. We will visit sometime at the Walden Ave. PetSmart. Here's a pic of him at his new home.
Watson
My name is Jen G. and I live in Buffalo, NY (but I was born and lived in Varysburg and Castile my whole life until 2001). About 2 weeks ago, we went to PetSmart near Walden Galleria to get some cat food and ended up adopting our third cat, Watson. He was so lovable at the store, we had to take him home. We already had two cats, a 1 and a half year old female calico named Maisey and a 6 month old orange tabby named Fred. At first, there was no love for Watson except for me and my husband, but a few days later, it was a love fest. Fred and Watson are now best buddies and play ALL THE TIME. Maisey plays a little with Watson, but she is too prim and proper to really get playing. She mostly watches.
He has fit right in. He has his own place on the couch and on the scrathing post/perch. He loves to play and to lick everything. He also LOVES LOVES LOVES the laser. We took him to the vet and she said that he is in excellent health. He did have some residual dirt from ear mites, but she cleaned it out and he was good to go.
Thank you so much for the work that you do.
Dianna
Hi Sue and Staff,
We just wanted to send a few pictures and let you know that Clarissa and
Diana are doing great. They are really starting to come around to us now.
Clarissa ,as you can pretty much see from her picture on the couch, has
adjusted real well. Diana is still a little shy but is doing so much
better. We are so happy we adopted both of "The Girls" and couldn't
imagine not having them in our life now. Thank you all so much for all
you do for the animals. Without you, we wouldn't have had the chance to
adopt these 2 wonderful kitties. Thank you all again.
Benji
Hello Wyoming County SPCA,
My name is Judy S******. On Sat. Feb. 7th, my husband and I took a trip to our local PetSmart. We saw that there were adoptions taking place, so at then end of our shopping we decided to take a look at the animals, unsure at the time of what was there and not looking to take anyone home with us. A young lady, 16 years old with a chinchilla in her pocket, INSISTED that she had the perfect cat for us. She brought over Benji. Both my husband and I continuously told her that we were not interested in adopting. After telling us a bit about how long Benji has been at your shelter (6 years) we decided to give him a one week trial. We were a bit cautious having a house full of other animals. See in October 2008 we had just adopt a cat from the Ten Lives Club, his name is Max. He has been a fantastic addition to our family and was well worth my search for him. So I was unsure how Max was going to react to having another cat to share us with. Well, we are about 3 days into the "trial" and I think Benji also has been a wonderful addition to our home. He's a bit scared yet but starting to come out and is purring, even around the kids. He has a very gentle personality, that goes with having an older cat. It has taken a lot less time than I anticipated for Ben to get familiar with our house, our children and our dogs. I believe he has found his new home! Attached is a picture of Max and Ben (we shortened it). That young lady had a very keen eye to see something in us that we ourselves did not see. God bless her and her family for offering there time to find good homes for the animals you have in your care! May God also bless you shelter for giving these animals a chance to live!
Sincerely,
The S****** Family
